Death Burst. If the dodongo's heart points fall to 0, it abruptly explodes with a thunderous boom. Each creature within 10 feet must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 28 (8d6) thunder damage.

Siege Monster. The dodongo deals double damage to objects and structures.

Actions

Multiattack. The dodongo makes two attacks.

Crushing Roll. The dodongo moves a distance up to its speed in a straight line, passing through the spaces of other creatures. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks. It makes one slam attack against each creature it passes through.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (4d12 + 10) piercing damage.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (4d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage, and a Medium or smaller creature falls prone.

Fire Bolt. Ranged Spell Attack: +3 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d10) fire damage.

Fire Breath (Recharge 5-6). The dodongo exhales fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in this area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 55 (10d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

“This is a huge dodongo that eats anything!”
— Navi, Ocarina of Time

The size of a building, the infernal fire-breathing dinosaur King Dodongo is a horrific force of nature. Extremely few dodongos live and thrive long enough to reach this nearly mythic stage of their life cycle.
Most mundane forms of food are insufficient for such a massive beast; it instead breaks down raw rocks and gemstones as its primary source of nutrition. Like a greater dodongo, its incredibly thick hide incorporates these gemstones and metals for even further protection.
One of these dodongos is almost always a prolific parent, and likely oversees a massive nest filled with many dodongos of earlier stages in their life cycle—especially baby dodongos. The sheer presence of the King Dodongo is a protective force to these younglings; its roar alone can instill fear in any would-be predators.
     Environment: Caves, Volcanic
