“Watch out for its fiery breath! Use Z Targeting techniques!”
— Navi, Ocarina of Time

An adolescent dodongo, it is several times the size of its infantile stage and has sprouted two powerful limbs. The powerful and thick-armored body of this young dragon has grown so heavy that even with these new limbs, it must continue to drag its body along the ground not unlike a snake.
With its fire breath and huge fangs, this dodongo will actively predate upon other creatures. It may strike out on its own but most dodongos at this stage still stay close to its nest of origin. Even if this but a child, this dodongo is an incredibly powerful predator capable of roasting entire horses alive—rider included.
It still retains the peculiar trait of exploding on death, perhaps as a byproduct of whatever organ provides it fiery breath.
     Environment: Caves, Volcanic
