Bombling (magic item)
From Legends of Hyrule
Jump to navigationJump to searchWondrous item (bomb), uncommon minor
500 rupees
This insect-like bomb-creature lays in hibernation until you use your action to activate it. Once activated, the bombling will explode at the end of your turn. Anything within 5 feet of the bombling when it explodes must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 thunder damage on a failed save or half as much on a success.
This damage is doubled against objects and creatures. If you are proficient with bombs, add your proficiency bonus to this DC.
As part of the action used to activate the bombling, you can drop it or throw it up to 20 feet. Wherever it lands, the bombling immediately scurries up to 40 feet to the nearest creature that is openly hostile to you (even if that creature is invisible or otherwise undetected). While moving, ignores difficult terrain, can't be targeted by opportunity attacks, and will maneuver around cover or other obstacles. If the bombling is hit or takes damage before the end of your turn, it explodes early.
