Dive Attack. If the aeralfos is flying and dives at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an extra 9 (2d8) damage to the target.
Evasion. When the aeralfos is subjected to an effect that allows a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage on a success, and only half damage if it fails. Flyby. While it is flying, the aeralfos's movement doesn't provoke reactions. Innate Spellcasting. The aeralfos's innate spellcasting ability is Constitution (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks), and casts spells as a 17th-level spellcaster. The aeralfos can innately cast air slash, breath of dragons, and fire bolt. Lizal Demigod. Due to its demonic prowess, the aeralfos has advantage on all Charisma checks made to interact socially with lizal.
Actions Multiattack. The aeralfos makes three attacks. It can substitute any number of attacks with cantrips. Broadsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (3d8 + 5) piercing damage, or 27 (5d8 + 5) piercing damage if made as part of a dive attack. Clawshot. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 50 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d4 + 5) piercing damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength save or be pulled up to the aeralfos' altitude (up to 50 feet), then fall, taking 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet fallen (maximum 10d6) and land prone. Fire Breath or Gale Blast (Recharge 5-6). The aeralfos exhales fire in a 30-foot cone, or flaps its wings with draonic power to send slashing gales through a line 60 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (12d6) damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The damage is fire for a cone, or slashing for a line.
Reactions Deflect. The aeralfos adds 5 to its AC against one ranged attack that would hit it. To do so, the aeralfos must see the attacker and be wielding a shield.
Legendary Actions The silver aeralfos can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The silver aeralfos regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn. Swift Strike. (Costs 2 Actions.) The aeralfos makes one attack or casts one cantrip. Resist. (Costs 3 Actions.) If the creature is subject to an effect that would require it to use an action to end the effect, or require an action to make a saving throw, it takes that action. |
Like all silver monsters, silver aeralfos—also known as dark aeralfos, black aeralfos, or purple aeralfos—have been immensely empowered with magic from a typically evil origin, perhaps even directly from Ganon himself. Such an aeralfos has unlocked its true potential, wielding power and endurance even greater than the so-called super aeralfos. Such a legendary monster is revered by its kin, often treated like a living deity.
Despite its common name in Hylian, silver aeralfos can be of a few different colors other than silver, but always incorporate varying amounts of unnatural violet or black into their scales.
Environment: Hills, Ruins, Sky
