The content of this compendium is intended for you to employ however you wish. If you only want to occasionally pick up a monster or two, that's still great. If you want to emulate the world of a specific game, like Ocarina of Time, then likewise feel free to pick up only aspects representative of that game.
However, Legends of Hyrule strives to represent an explorable world that can draws on every aspect of Zelda lore—a world that believably includes everything from a tokay sage to a kokiri wizzrobe, with adventures spanning from Gerudo Desert to Windfall Island. Consequently this setting does not accurately portray the official timeline nor the specific events of any one game. Instead, it merges as many different games as possible into one moment of time fit for almost every kind of adventure. The lore herein caters to this relatively unique, "merged" Light World.
As Zelda and D&D both evolve ever onward into disparate futures, Legends of Hyrule aims to be flexible—to be timeless—while still creating a world rich and ripe for any campaign.
