2-point transmutation (ritual)
Casting time:  1 hour
Range:  Self
Components:  V, S, M (a quarterstaff plus 200 rupees worth of gemstones)
Duration:  Until dispelled

You imbue elemental magic into a staff, permanently transforming it into your choice of an fire rod, ice rod, or lightning rod. If the rod ever moves more than 10 feet away from you while you are alive, or if you cast this spell again, the rod loses its magical properties and returns to a normal quarterstaff.
Permanency. When you cast this spell, you can supply 3,000 rupees' worth of gemstones to be consumed by the spell, replacing the normal amount. In doing so, the transformation lasts permanently: the rod retains its new form regardless of distance or if you cast this spell again.
