Description
Even though it stands hunched over, the reptilian dinolfos towers a good foot over most other humanoids. Its scales are a deep green color, with accents of brown and pale yellow. Distinctly among lizalfos, an array of thorny spines run from its scalp down its back to the tip of its tail.
Prestegious Brutes. The dinolfos subrace, alternatively known as dynalfos or dinofols, is often considered among the lizalfos race to be of the highest status. They are physically powerful, of greater size than most, relatively intelligent, and even wield the rare capability to exhale fire. Usually, only rare mutants like super aeralfos or dark dinolfos can hope to exceed the prestige a dinolfos has over its kin.
Prowlers of Marshes and Magma. Like the more common geru, dinolfos generally prefer humid environments with abundant fauna on which to feed, like swamps and jungles. However, they've also been known to inhabit inhospitably hot environments—mainly the caverns of active volcanoes.
Humanoid Hunter. To a dinolfos, mammalian humanoids are considered little more than meat—prey it would attack on sight, even if it isn’t hungry. Infamously, a dinolfos has been known to roast and literally cook a Hylian child with its fiery breath. The feast began while the poor soul yet lived.
Traits
Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the dinolfos hits with it (included in the attack).
Hold Breath. The dinolfos can hold its breath for 30 minutes.
Standing Leap. The dinolfos' long jump is up to 20 feet and its high jump is up to 10 feet, with or without a running start.
Actions
Multiattack. The dinolfos makes two melee weapon attacks.
Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage, or 15 (2d10 + 4) slashing damage if used in two hands.
Fire Breath. (Recharge 5-6.)
Reactions
Parry.
