You drain the vitality from a creature in range you can see to bolster yourself. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the target takes 1d4 necrotic damage and you gain temporary heart points equal to the damage taken. These temporary heart points last for the duration.
This spell's damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).
