Range:  Touch
Components:  V, S
Duration:  Instantaneous

You inflict grievous wounds upon a creature you touch. Make a spell attack roll against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d12 necrotic damage.
     Upcast. You can upcast this spell by expending extra magic points when you cast it.  For every extra point you expend, the damage increases by 1d12.
1st-level necromancy
Casting time:  1 action
Range:  Touch
Components:  V, S
Duration:  Instantaneous

You inflict grievous wounds upon a creature you touch. Make a spell attack roll against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d12 necrotic damage.
     At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d12 for each slot level above 1st.
