Blins are a monstrous, bulky race of humanoids covered in thick flesh, with faces that resemble either swine or bull dogs. Blin subraces come in many sizes and shapes with different habits and cultures, but there are some traits shared by all blins. Blin culture typically praises those who are sadistic and evil, and blins are generally associated with Ganon or vile deities. Blins are widely considered to be the most abundant humanoids in the Light World, and together may even outnumber the Races of Light as a whole. Indeed, blins and the Races of Light are enemies from before the dawn of time, and the two sides eagerly attack or kill each other without second thought.
Heartless Brutes. Blins are often expected to be malicious, gluttonous, greedy, and violent. Rarely is one not evil. They generally seek to take or destroy anything which is not already theirs, and such behavior is rewarded in most societies of blin. Their rude habits and beastly appearances render them detested by many other races of Hyrule, despite the race's long history and high population. Hylians in particular believe these creatures are utterly incapable of compassion, and the slaughter of them is widely seen as a righteous act. Other monstrous races such as lizalfos or lynels may only ally with blins when both fall under the influence of a powerful leader. Although they are capable of speech and sentience, most varieties of blin treat confident ignorance as a virtue, and rarely even learn to read or write their own language. Bulblins may be the only variety that places any merit on intelligence.
Ancient Ancestry. Despite their reputation, blins are one of the oldest races in the Light World and Dark World, predating even hylians and gorons. Although they originally evolved without the aid of magic, they have become closely associated with the supernatural powers of the evil beast that is Ganon, and as a result many blin bloodlines linger with traces of the supernatural.
Reverence of Ganon. In his true form, Ganon himself resembles a particularly large and powerful moblin. With every resurgence Ganon has made, he has historically composed his army of numerous blins, usually alongside other monsters. It is believed Ganon has the ability to conjure and even resurrect blins, though his forces also comprise blins who willingly enlist. Indeed, many blins worship Ganon himself as the patron deity of their race, which only causes further ire among hylians. Though uncommon, there are some rebellious blins who regard Ganon as a false deity who manipulates the race to his own selfish benefit.

Character details
Alignment. Blins have a strong tendency towards evil. Though a few among them may be good, even these pretend to be evil among their peers just to fit in.
Age. A blin swiftly reaches adulthood in about 7 years. Bokoblins in particular can reach adulthood in as little as 2. Rarely does a blin live beyond the age of 30.
Diet. Blins are omnivorous, but greatly favor meat and will usually only eat fruit or other flora when on the verge of starvation.
Names. Unlike most intelligent races, blins infrequently have names. "That one over there" is often sufficient. A blin name, in the rarity it does exist, tends to sound crude or blunt when translated to Hylian. Examples include Bacon, Big, Clubber, Crimson, Gandle, Karuna, Killton, Meatstick, Moe, Molblin, Muzzle, Pest, Pork Chop, Spike, and Trident. There is usually no distinction between male and female names.
Character traits
Keen Smell. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Ancestral Arms. Blins are instinctively skilled at smashing things with blunt objects. You are always proficient with clubs, crushers, and greatclubs. If you become proficient with any martial weapon, you also become proficient with moblin spears.
Languages. All blins speak Blin. A minority, including all blin player-characters, speak Hylian as a second language. You can only read and write these languages if your Intelligence score is 8 or higher.
Subraces. Blins come in diverse subraces. Choose one from bokoblin, bulblin, moblin, and miniblin.
Bokoblin
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores all increase by 1.
Size. Bokoblins range in height between 5 and 7 feet, and on average weigh 150 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. You have a base walking speed of 30 feet.
Perserverance. You have advantage on any ability check or saving throw to avoid exhaustion or being poisoned. Each day you only require 1⁄4 pounds of food and 1⁄4 gallons of water to avoid starvation.
Reckless. At the start of your turn, you can gain advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls you make this turn, but attack rolls against you gain advantage until the start of your next turn.
Forage. Bokoblins are infamous for doing anything to survive. You have advantage on any ability check made to find food or water.
Foraged Weaponry. If you attack with an improvised weapon or unarmed strike, you add half your proficiency bonus to the attack roll if you otherwise would not add any bonus.
Bulblin
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence scores all increase by 1.
Size. Bulblins can range immensely in height, but an average one is about 5 feet tall and weighs around 100 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. You have a base walking speed of 25 feet.
Pack Tactic. On your turn if a creature is within 5 feet of your ally, you can choose to gain advantage on the first attack roll you make against that creature while your ally remains within 5 feet of it. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you next roll initiative.
Beast Tamer. Bulblins are remarkably adept at manipulating animals to their needs. You are proficient in the Animal Handling skill.
Armor Training. Unlike most blins, bulblins are trained for armor usage from a young age, and usually live in basic armor as soon as they learn to walk. You are always proficient in light armor. If you would otherwise become proficient with light armor, you also become proficient with medium armor and shields (but not heavy shields). If you would otherwise become proficient with medium armor, you also become proficient with all shields. If you would otherwise become proficient with heavy armor, you can add your Dexterity modifier (max 1) to your AC while you wear heavy armor.
Moblin
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1, and your Constitution score increases by 2.
Size. A moblin, or "big blin," typically stands between 8 and 12 feet tall, and weighs between 800 and 1600 pounds. Your size is Large. You function a little differently than a Medium or Small creature would. See Large player-characters.
Speed. You have a base walking speed of 30 feet.
Large Target. Your Armor Class decreases by 1.
Laze. Moblins are well-adapted to recovering quickly from battle. It's just one reason they are so favored as forces in Ganon's armies. Whenever you complete a short rest and roll your Heart Container die to recover heart points, you add your proficiency bonus to each roll if no other effect also adds your proficiency bonus.
Miniblin
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Size. A typical miniblin stands just over 2 feet tall. Your size is Small.
Speed. You have a base walking speed of 25 feet and a climb speed of 25 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Pack Tactic. On your turn if a creature is within 5 feet of your ally, you can choose to gain advantage on the first attack roll you make against that creature while your ally remains within 5 feet of it. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you next roll initiative.
Spider Climb. Miniblins possess an uncanny, supernatural ability to climb. You have a climb speed of 25 feet, which you can use even if both of your hands are occupied. You can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
