Charge. If the lynel moves at least 20 feet straight toward a Medium or smaller creature then hits it with the first melee attack it makes on the same turn, the target takes an extra 11 (2d10) damage and must succeed on a DC 26 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Fearsome Presence. Any hostile creature that starts its turn within 120 feet of the lynel and is aware of it must make a DC 13 Charisma saving throw, or become frightened of it for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature has succeeded on this saving throw once within the past 8 hours, it automatically succeeds. Improved Initiative. The lynel has advantage on any ability check it makes to determine turn order in combat. Legendary Resistance (3/day). If the lynel fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead. Mighty Marksman. The lynel adds both Strength and Dexterity to ranged weapon attack rolls. These attacks ignore half cover and three-quarters cover. Innate Spellcasting. The lynel's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma. It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components: At will: true strike | |||||
Actions Multiattack. The lynel makes four melee weapon attacks with the same weapon, or three ranged weapon attacks.. Savage Lynel Crusher. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 51 (6d10 + 18) bludgeoning damage. Savage Lynel Sword and Shield. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. If the lynel uses this attack, its AC increases to 24 until its next turn. Hit: 37 (6d8 + 10) slashing damage. Savage Lynel Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 10 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 36 (6d8 + 10) piercing damage, or 43 (6d10 + 10) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack. Savage Lynel Bow with Shock Arrows. Ranged Weapon Attack: +26 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 29 (6d6 + 8) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) lightning damage. Critical Hit: The target drops everything it is holding and is paralyzed until either the end of the lynel's next turn or until the target takes damage. Invoke Flame. (Recharge 5-6): The lynel conjures fire in one of two ways:

“ | “With brutal strength and extreme resilience, this type of lynel somehow surpasses silver lynels in sheer power. It is said they are actually silver lynels who mysteriously transformed after being struck by lightning. If you see one, get away as fast as you can.” |
