If there is already a creature in this space it must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking 13 (2d12) piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d12 + 2) piercing damage. Morth Shot. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 20/60 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage. Miss: One morth appears in the target's space, or the nearest space this attack could reach. |
A horse-sized grasshopper with a single cyclopean eye, a wingless mothula chops apart prey with giant scissor-like mandibles. At this stage of its development, the mothula has shed the undersized wings it had as moth but has yet to start growing the large wings that mark its status as a true mothula. These statistics can also resemble any true mothula that has lost its wings. Even on foot, the mothula crawls and hops at surprising speed, capable of hunting down prey and even leaping up to rip prey from trees. Like a true mothula, it has the peculiar habitat of using its newborn offspring, morths, as living weaponry.
Environment: Forest, Ruins
