You touch a creature, and that creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become cursed for the duration of the spell. When you cast this spell, choose the nature of the curse from the following options:

A remove curse spell ends this effect. At the narrator's option, you may choose an alternative curse effect, but it should be no more powerful than those described above. The narrator has final say on such a curse's effect.

Upcast. You can upcast this spell by expending extra magic points when you cast it. 

  • If you expend 1 extra point, the duration increases to "concentration, up to 10 minutes."
  • If you expend 2 extra points, the duration increases to 8 hours and doesn't require concentration.
  • If you expend 5 extra points, the duration increases to 24 hours and doesn't require concentration.
  • If you expend 9 extra points, the spell lasts until dispelled and doesn't require concentration.
3rd-level necromancy
