Fire Reiginition. Whenever the slug is subjected to fire damage, it takes no damage and instead gains a number of heart points equal to the fire damage. Taking fire damage also reignites the slug's Flickering Flame if it is out.

Flickering Flame. The flame on the torch slug's back goes out if it takes cold or thunder damage, or is subject to a gust of wind such as might result from a korok leaf. While the flame is out, the torch slug loses its immunity to piercing and slashing damage and all attack rolls targeting it have advantage.

Lava Camouflage. While in or on lava, the torch slug has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide.

Actions

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage, plus 7 (2d6) fire damage if the slug's Flickering Flame isn't out.

Spit Fire. Ranged Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) fire damage and the target is ignited.

“When the fire on its back is extinguished, it will run away. Destroy it before it relights!”
— Navi, Ocarina of Time

Though called a slug, this monster is almost indistinguishable from a pile living lava. The only clue to its true nature are a tiny pair of eye stalks that can easily be missed.
Living primarily in areas of molten rock, the slug will venture out only to find meaty prey to roast alive. Smothering a victim with its molten body is usually enough to make quick work of any meaty creature it could want to devour. This is made all the easier because the slug's "body" is almost invincible to conventional forms of attack. Even well-equipped warriors may find it difficult to leave a scar. Those who find a way to extinguish its flame, however, will find it much easier to defeat.
     Environment: Ruins, Volcanic
