False Appearance. While the baba remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary plant.
Reactive. The baba can take a reaction on every creature's turn in combat. Rooted. The baba is planted in the ground. Its base walking speed cannot increase above 0 feet. It has advantage on all saving throws and ability checks to remain in its position. If the baba is forced from its position but not reduced to 0 heart points, it dies at the end of its next turn. | |||||
Actions Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d6 + 1) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) poison damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 11). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the baba cannot bite another target. Uproot. The baba detaches itself from the ground gains a walking speed of 30 feet and a swim speed of 30 feet. Another action can be used to re-attach itself from the point where it was uprooted. While detached, the baba takes 1d12 necrotic damage at the end of each of its turns. | |||||
Reactions Lunge. If a creature moves within 10 feet of the baba, it makes a bite attack against that creature. |
