8-point evocation | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
Range: | 60 feet |
Components: | V, S |
Duration: | Concentration, up to 1 minute |
A creature in range is wreathed in crackling bolts of lightning that wrap around its body like chains. The target must make a Strength saving throw to break free of the bolts. On a failed save, the target takes 4d8 lightning damage and is restrained for the duration. On a success, the target takes half as much damage and the spell ends.
While this spell persists, the bolts around the target shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for 30 feet beyond that, and the target doesn't benefit from being invisible. Until the spell ends, the creature also takes 4d8 lightning damage at the start of each of your turns.
The target can use its action to repeat the Strength saving throw, ending the spell on a success.
