Description
A chilfos appears as a roughly humanoid shape about 9 feet in height, with a form so skinny and frail it appears to be a skeleton. As it is comprised almost entirely of ice, the creature melts easily to ice, and shatters like glass when struck forcefully.
Stoic Sentry. A chilfos lacks an individual identity. It is created either by the purposeful actions of a potent spellcaster or the mere remnants of powerful magic in an icy landscape. Although a chilfos possesses a basic intelligence, this mind seems to only care for guarding whatever structure or region in which the chilfos manifested, or following the basic orders of whatever force created it. It seems to possess little knowledge beyond moderate combat capability.
Elemental Nature. The chilfos doesn't require food, water, or sleep.
Traits
False Appearance. While the chilfos lays Prone and motionless, it is indistinguishable from a natural ice or snow formation.
Spear of Ice. As a bonus action, the chilfos can create a spear or javelin made out of dense ice, which inflicts an additional 7 (2d6) cold damage. This weapon is destroyed if it is exposed to fire or bludgeoning damage, its wielder rolls a natural 1 an attack roll with it, or the chilfos dies.
Actions
Spear of Ice. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage, or 12 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage if used in two hands to make a melee attack, plus 7 (2d6) cold damage.
Reactions
Parry.
