You project a beam of force from the melee weapon used as a material component for this spell. Make a ranged spell attack against a creature or object in range. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 force damage. Once you reach 5th level, add your casting ability to the damage dealt by this spell. This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 11th level (2d8) and 17th level (3d8).
