Ambusher. The octorok has advantage on attack rolls targeting any creature that has yet to have a turn in this combat.

Amphibious. The octorok can breathe air and water.

Gleaming Haste. The octorok can take 3 actions on each of its turns.

Improved Initiative. The octorok has advantage on any ability check it makes to determine turn order in combat.

Actions

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Gleaming Shot. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) radiant damage.

Boss Mode

While the golden octorok has a Challenge rating higher than any other monster in combat, its heart points are doubled, and it has advantage on initiative checks. It can also take 3 boss reactions each round, replacing its normal 1 reaction per round. The boss golden octorok can use a boss reaction to Escape, Maneuver, Search, use any of its normal reactions, or do any of the following:

Boss Resistance (3/Day). When the octorok would fail a saving throw, it can choose to lose 20 heart points and succeed on the save instead.

Combo (Costs 2 Reactions). After the octorok hits with an attack roll, it uses the same attack on a new target.

This rare, perhaps mythical version of the common octorok gleams with a golden power. Like other golden monsters it is exceptionally rare and powerful, though the exact origins of its power are unknown. Some say it was struck by lightning, others say it was touched by the Triforce, but these are just two of many different tales.
