This deft armor consists of quilted cloth, stiff fabrics, boiled leather, or clever weaving techniques to create clothing that is more protective than common clothes or partial armor. An armored tunic is often favored by travelers for its efficient cost and ease of wear. The most renowned design includes leather bracers and a small breastplate, which is known as the Hylian Tunic or the Hylian Set thanks to its popularity among hylians.
You must have proficiency with light armor to wear an armored tunic proficiently. If you wear armor that you lack proficiency with, you have disadvantage on any ability check, saving throw, or attack roll that involves Strength or Dexterity, and you can't cast spells.
