A bug-catching net is a simple melee weapon. This handheld wooden net ends in a large loop, with a large and dense net attached to the loop. It is primarily designed to catch butterflies, bees, or other such diminutive creatures.

Special. A Tiny creature hit by this weapon takes no damage, but is restrained while you maintain one hand on this net. Amorphous creatures are unaffected. A creature can use its action to make a DC 10 Strength check, with a success freeing itself or an adjacent creature from the net. Dealing 5 slashing damage to the net (AC 10) also frees the creature without harming it, ending the effect and destroying the net.

Damage. 1 bludgeoning
Properties. Light, special
Cost. 10 rupees
Weight. 2 lb.
“There are bugs and other things hidden away in the bushes and trees. If you time it right, you can catch them with this net.”
