At a point you choose in range, air cools so rapidly it momentarily freezes into a solid cube before shattering apart. Any creature in a 20-foot cube originating from the point you chose must make a Constitution saving throw. A target takes 8d6 cold damage on a successful save, or half as much on a failed one. Any creature reduced to 0 heart points by this damage is petrified into solid ice until it thaws naturally.
Within this 20-foot cube, any wet ground or quicksand becomes slippery ice and any water becomes covered in thin ice, until it thaws naturally.
Upcast. You can upcast this spell by expending extra magic points when you cast it. For each extra point, add 1d6 damage.
