False Appearance. While the chilfos lays prone and motionless, it is indistinguishable from a natural ice or snow formation.
Spear of Ice. As a bonus action, the chilfos can create a spear or javelin made out of dense ice, which on a hit deals an extra 7 (2d6) cold damage (included in the attack). This weapon is destroyed if it takes fire or bludgeoning damage, the chilfos dies, or its wielder rolls a natural 1 on any attack roll with it. | |||||

“ | “A slim-bodied warrior made of ice. They disguise themselves as icicles on the ceiling and drop down when a foe draws near. Chilfos wield an icicle spear, piercing enemies that come within range and throwing it at those who keep their distance.” |
— Encyclopedia |
A chilfos appears as a roughly humanoid shape about 9 feet in height, with a form so skinny and frail it resembles a skeleton. As it is comprised almost entirely of ice, the creature melts easily, and shatters like glass when struck forcefully.
Stoic Sentry. If chilfos have individuality or personalities, they never show it. One is created either by the purposeful actions of a potent spellcaster or the mere remnants of powerful magic in an icy landscape. These beings seem incapable of reproducing on their own. Although chilfos possesses a basic intelligence, this mind seems to only care for guarding whatever structure or region in which the chilfos manifested, or following the basic orders of whatever force created it. It seems to possess little knowledge beyond impressive combat prowess.
Elemental Nature. The chilfos doesn't require food, water, or sleep.
