Pack Tactics. The bulblin has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the bulblin's allies (excluding any mounted ally) is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Mounted Superiority. While it is mounted, the king has advantage on any melee attack roll targeting a Large or smaller creatures that isn't mounted.

Actions (2 per turn)

Lance. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 feet, one target. This attack roll has disadvantage if the king isn't mounted.
Hit: 17 (2d12 + 4) piercing damage.

Megaton Hammer. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 feet, one target.
Hit: 17 (2d12 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Heavy Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 100/400 feet, one target.
Hit: 12 (2d10 + 1) piercing damage plus 2 (1d4) fire damage.

Bonus Actions

Command. The king issues a martial command to a creature it can see who can hear and understand the king. That creature gains advantage on the first attack roll or saving throw it makes before the start of the king's next turn.

Shove. Immediately after the king hits a Large or smaller creature with a melee attack, it can force that creature to make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failure, the creature is knocked prone.

Reactions

Opportunity Attack. When a creature moves out of the captain's reach, as a reaction the captain can make one melee attack targeting that creature.

Boss Mode

While the king bulblin has a Challenge rating higher than any other monster in combat, its heart points are doubled, and it has advantage on initiative checks. It can also take 3 boss reactions each round, replacing its normal 1 reaction per round. The boss king bulblin can use a boss reaction to Escape, Maneuver, Search, use any of its normal reactions, or do any of the following:

Cleave (Costs 2 Reactions). Immediately after the king hits a creature with a melee attack, it can move a distance up to half its speed and make another melee attack against a different target.

Boss Resistance (3/Day). When the king would fail a saving throw, it can choose to lose 30 heart points and succeed on the save instead.

The king of a bulblin tribe is often whichever one is largest, strongest, has the biggest horns, and commands the most respect. A king is only usurped by a younger and stronger bulblin. This contest rarely ends in murder, as bulblins destroying bulblins is usually seen as a waste of resources.
Mounted Warrior. As a sign of leadership, a bulblin king is often astride a particularly powerful lord bullbo. A king will almost always charge into combat mounted, and its mount is highly decorated both literally and figuratively within its tribe. While mounted, the duo of king bulblin and lord bullbo together have an effective Challenge rating of 8.
