Transmutation cantrip
Casting time:  1 action
Range:  30 feet
Components:  V, S
Duration:  Instantaneous

A spike of stone and earth rises up from below to strike a point in range that you can see, before vanishing. Any creature on that point or up to 30 feet directly underneath it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 piercing damage. Any creature burrowing underground when it makes this save does so with disadvantage.
     The spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
