A sudden burst of volatile energy explodes from your palm into a creature or object you can touch. Make a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d12 force damage, and if it is a Medium or smaller creature it is pushed 5 feet directly away from you. If your attack misses, you take 1d4 force damage and are pushed back 5 feet from the creature.
     The damage dice of this spell increase by one when you reach 5th level (2d12 and 2d4), 11th level (3d12 and 3d4), and 17th level (4d12 and 4d4).
