Techniques

Techniques are special actions used in combat that draw on your reserves of stamina points. Fighters are the predominant wielders of techniques, but characters of other classes can learn some as well.

Techniques have three tiers: martial, heroic, and legendary. Each tier of technique is generally more powerful than the last, but also usually draws on greater amounts of stamina.

You can use a technique you have learned by expending the amount of stamina points listed for the relevant technique. Most techniques specify when they can be used: attack, action, bonus action, reaction, or free.

  • An attack technique be made in place of one weapon attack you would be able to make during the Attack action or your opportunity attack, but not any other features that can for attacks.
  • A free technique can be used at any point during your turn, and can be used repeatedly in one turn unless otherwise specified.

You can use multiple techniques in the same turn.

Martial Techniques

Martial techniques can be learned by fighters and some other classes, as well as through the technician feat or a rare tiger scroll.

Name SP Time Summary

Heroic Techniques

Normally only fighters of the tunic subclass and opportunists of the garo subclass can learn heroic techniques. Others can learn such a powerful technique if they have a very rare tiger scroll.

Legendary Techniques

Only those specializing in techniques, tunics, can normally learn even one of these. They say a legendary tiger scroll can be used to teach such an almighty technique otherwise.
