Prerequisite: The ability to cast at least one spell with magic points
You've learned to manipulate and transform the spells you cast, using a practice called metamagic. When you cast a spell, you can expend 1 extra magic point when you cast it to give it one of the following effects. This extra magic point is subject to your Magic Limit.
Careful Spell. When you cast a spell that forces other creatures to make a saving throw, you can protect some of those creatures from the spell's full force. Choose a number of those creatures up to your proficiency bonus. A chosen creature automatically succeeds on its saving throw against the spell.
Distant Spell. When you cast a spell that has a range of 5 feet or greater, you double the range of the spell. When you cast a spell that has a range of touch, the range becomes 30 feet.
Extended Spell. When you cast a spell that has a duration of 1 minute or longer, you double its duration, to a maximum duration of 24 hours.
Subtle Spell. You cast the spell without any somatic or verbal components.
