Octos use tentacles instead of hands or arms. A minority of them, including all player-character octos, can use these limbs as nimbly and deftly as a humanoid use their hands. As an octo, you can wield weapons and provide the somatic components of [[spells]] in effectively the same way a humanoid could.

{{RT|Alignment}} Most octos are not intelligent enough to have alignment, and thus are unaligned. Those with intelligence are usually neutral or neutral evil. 
{{RT|Age}} Larger octos may age slowly, but a Small or Medium octo will reach adulthood in less than a year and can live for up to 20 years. 
{{RT|Diet}} Octos are omnivorous. Many avoid classic predation to focus on eating plants, consuming small prey, or filter feeding.
