“A crab-like found in certain fields and deserts characterized by its lopsided pincers.”
Encyclopedia

Though of similar size and demeanor to the more common sand crab, the karat crab has one pincer that wields devastatingly lethal force. Its unusual golden coloration and crimson eyes hint at some form of supernatural power, perhaps marking it as some kind of golden monster. Whatever the cause, these rare and monstrous crabs are found in deserts, sandy coasts, and even the Dark World. Unsurprisingly they are more than capable of clearing out any more mundane crabs wherever they dwell.
