Centered on a point you choose within range, air cools so rapidly it momentarily freezes into a solid 25-foot-diamter cube before shattering apart violently. Any creature other than you in this area must make a Constitution saving throw. A target takes 8d6 cold damage on a successful save, or half as much on a failed one. Any creature reduced to 0 heart points by this damage is petrified into solid ice until it thaws naturally.
Within this cube, any wet ground or quicksand becomes slippery ice and any water becomes covered in thin ice, until it thaws naturally.
Upcast. You can upcast this spell by expending extra magic points when you cast it. For each extra point, add 1d6 damage.
